Patch 6.4 will introduce a new story, The Dark Throne, that will take players to the 13th century as they prepare to fight the Golbez on the moon. This is accompanied by the story of the Pandaemonium, which will end with the final raid tier Anbaseios.
Well, the developers have already posted the complete patch notes on lodestone. Apart from the MSQs & the story, the patch also introduces some miscellaneous changes, job adjustments, and quality-of-life changes to the game. There’s also new content to the island Sanctuary mode, which allows the players to progress their hideaways.
There are nine new quests that the players can start in Final Fantasy XIV by going to Varshahn in Radz-at-Han (X:4.4 Y:9.8). As we said above, the patch introduced Quality of life changes to parts of the game. Portraits of the character have now been implemented for battle dialogue during the main scene battle quests started with the patch 2.0 quest brotherly love up to the final quest in patch 2.55. Now the portraits before the brotherly love queests will be added to the game in a future update.
Furthermore, the icon graphics introduced after the quests Shadowbringers and older quests will be updated in the future update as well. The changes have been implemented to the glamour system. Also, players will now be able to access items in their armor & glamour system. In addition to this, Request & Repair have also been modified.
Job potencies and other factors have been modified with this patch 6.4. Now, all tanks have got the buff except Dark Knight, have got power buffs alongside the tiny changes to the effective radius of a specific skill. Dragoon can now perform a jump even when under the Bind debuff. The same adjustments were made to other jobs as well.
Selene, the Scholar faerie, has been entirely removed from the game, and the players will be able to cast a glamour on Eos instead. In order to do that, the players must accept the guild master Thubyrgeim in Limsa Lominsa – Lower Decks (X:4.7 Y:11.4). After achieving the prerequisite; players can use the text command /egiglamour
(/petglamour
) to change the look of the faerie.
Moving onto the PVP mode, the devs have also revamped when the Endwaler was released & a new map was recently added too. Also, the height of the specific assets combined with the teleporting stunt was a cause of vision blockage that caused gameplay issues. Now, the devs have adjusted the height with the aim of reducing the problem.
The latest patch also incorporates loot changes for the last tier of Pandaemonium (Savage). However, it will only unlock on May 30. Final Fantasy XIV is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Steam.
