God of War Ragnarok an action-adventure video game developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Entertainment. As we know, the game has had its fair share of bumps, but now the developers have finally addressed the biggest bump of them all.

Well, remember the puzzles in the game? Yes, the allies of the character would spoil the puzzle of the game in a flash! Which has received major backlash from the gaming community.

A few days ago, God of War Ragnarok’s director Matt Sophos & the Story lead Richard Gaubert made it to an interview with MiniMax and were asked about the puzzle uproar as per the developer’s idea completely missed its direction while it was still in development

For context, the God of War Ragnarok was being developed for a long time, and it also went into a heavy testing period;. However, the people behind all the testing did not give any feedback about the character allies spoiling the game puzzle, which obviously prevented the team from patching it before the official release.

It didn’t get exposed to us to really until after the game came out because even it had play tests, we never saw the feedback about the characters taking too much or spiling things too quickly,” said Sophos during the interview.

Sophos further said that the puzzles were answered too quickly by the character’s allies which hampered the user experience! Well, it looks like the issue has to do with its timing. According to the developers, the timing for the first hint was too aggressive and should have had a much larger countdown timer before something came up.

Sophos & Gaubart both agreed that the issue went unnoticed and, as we said above, only noticed after it went live. Now we were like, s#$t if we’d known that, we would’ve responded, noted Richard and added that it would not happen again.

Moreover, The Story lead added that he never got to play the God of War Ragnarok from start to finish, which stopped him from noticing the issue, and he did say that he did feel irked when the game allies kept spoiling the puzzle a bit early during the playthrough.

As a result, many players criticised the issue as it led many players not to be able to enjoy the idea behind each puzzle. Sadly, this has been to all the other AAA titles as well

Anyways, the team has finally noticed the issues. Although the developers have not yet issued a patch, the possibility of it is very less if the words of the developers are anything to go by. Well, it won’t be happening again in future games.

This iteration of the God of War franchise, i.e., God of War Ragnarok, was released last year and has set new records for the franchise. The game has good visuals, a good story and character-building that paved the way for one of the best games of 2022 and easily dominated other AAA titles.for the US Boked charts best ranking games
