Overwatch 2 is a first-person shooting video game developed & published by Blizzard Entertainment. As we know, Overwatch 2 is in its fourth season, which started in April.
Each season lasts around two months and comes with a new map or a new hero, along with a new battle pass, of course. Also, occasionally new modes & arcade modes are added as well.
The Overwatch 2 community took to Reddit to share their thoughts on the current multi-player first-person shooting game season and the overall direction the game is heading. It looks like the Overwatch community is frustrated with the current season, especially Metas.
With that being said, there have been numerous metas in Overwatch and Overwatch 2 in the past that have not gone well with the community, and it seems this isn’t any different.
Well, as evident, the game is again dominated by the long-range damage heroes, which makes the players choose Sombra to deal with them.

Now rather than players choosing the heroes they want to choose, the players are having to intensely counter-choose. This could be because Lifeweaver, overwatch’s new hero, hasn’t had much playtime as well.
Season 4 has been the worst season in the Overwatch 2 era so far in my opinion.

The person who started the Reddit threat said, “For the first time, I feel this game has actually kind of stale,” and another fan commented about the meta and said, “NGL the Window Hanzo meta sucks.”
The season four new hero, lifeweaver, is a Thai character who was praised by the fans for its design and for being another LGBTQ+ character that has been publically added to the game.
Although once its design got over, the community was left with a mechanically odd character that the community isn’t choosing at all.
“The release of Lifeweaver was a complete flop,” and nobody wants to play him, commented a player. With that being said, the new hero has already received several patches and changes made to its kit since the day it was released, a player commented.
Furthermore, the devasting news that the majority of the game’s schedule, PVE, has been canceled and season four is not up to the mark is just another blow to the loyal players of the game.
Nonetheless, season four will go on till the second week of June, and we expect new content & patches for season five.
