Greetings, and welcome back to the second part of our Criminal Mastermind Challenge guide! In this comprehensive guide, I’m going to be taking you through every step you need to complete the Criminal Mastermind Challenge in GTA Online.
If you haven’t read part one yet, I would really recommend giving it a look! It goes into detail on a lot of the information here but also includes a few other bits of information that will be highly useful to your success with the criminally minded endeavor.
Heist 3: The Humane Labs Raid
Humane Labs – Key Codes
Get in a meeting with a contact at Downtown, set up lookouts, and more in this first setup mission for the Humane Labs raid. For this mission, the team is divided into four roles – a buyer, a bodyguard, and two lookout players.
First, the crew needs to visit the Parking Lot near the Ammu-Nation in Downtown Los Santos, where the buyer and the bodyguard have to get in the meeting position. The lookout players also have to get into their corresponding vantage locations and wait for the contact to arrive.
The contact is revealed to be Karen from the IAA who holds a briefcase containing key codes for the Humane Labs and Research. However, before giving it away to the crew she says she needs to wait for a confirmation.
As soon as the confirmation arrives and she hands over the briefcase to the crew, FIB agents arrive at the scene and start shooting at the group. During the chaos, Karen’s bodyguard is killed, and she runs away. Now the crew has to take on the FIB agents.
After securing the area, the team collects the briefcase and attempts to get it back to the host’s apartment, but more FIB agents arrive at the entrance, and the team has to take them out too. The mission is successfully completed after leaving the parking lot securely.
Humane Labs – Insurgents
Agent 14 says the crew needs to go to Davis Quartz. He says it’s owned by a company called Merryweather Security, and he says Merryweather Security is testing their new LAPVs (light armored patrol vehicles). He also warns that there will be resistance because of the tests.
You have to be careful when attacking the Merryweather soldiers. They’re protecting the entrance to the quarry and the test site is at the bottom of the quarry. So, you should stay high up to avoid getting hurt.
Merryweather will send in Mesa and Buzzard Attack Choppers to take out the vehicles, so the player manning the Insurgent Pick-Up’s turret has to provide cover for the rest of the crew as they try to evade or fight back. If heavily surrounded, resort to Drive-By Shooting.
Enemies at the drop-off location will be dealt with before leaving the vehicles. Once they’re out of the picture and the vehicles are finally secured at their destination, the mission is accomplished.
Humane Labs – EMP
EMP is the third heist set up for “The Humane Labs” raid in which Agent 14 congratulates the crew for the work done before. He briefs them on the next plan to steal an EMP device from a jet, which is on a ship located in the middle of the ocean.
He also states that he would need to sell the plane to fund the heist, so they agree to deliver the EMP to Humane Labs and Research. The crew is informed that there is a Dinghy at El Burro Heights, which they use to head in the direction of an aircraft carrier.
Agent 14 states that he knows the EMP plane is there because the navy crew leaked an inventory on the Dark Net and put everything on sale. He also comments that it will end up in the hands of terrorists if they do not get to it first.
Once the crew gets into the vessel’s boat access on the stern, they find themselves in a fight all the way through the vessel. They take out the first group of enemies in the hangar area, and then a second group appears from the other side.
The crew has to sort out the enemies on the stairs leading to the flight deck before one of them finally gets into the Hydra. Once the enemy squadron is taken out, the crew is safe to deliver the target jet to Sandy Shores Airfield to complete the mission.
Humane Labs – Valkyrie
The crew’s mission is to steal a Valkyrie helicopter from Merryweather Security’s base of operations. Agent 14 will contact the team and explain that they need to take out all of the Merryweather guards at the entrance first, as well as any enemies in the surrounding area.
Once they’ve defeated all of the ground-based soldiers, one player needs to grab a pilot seat, while three others will board the vehicle’s turrets. As soon as everyone is on board, Agent 14 informs that Merryweather has sent some air units to intercept them.
Two Froggers and a Buzzard Attack Chopper will be spotted heading towards the Valkyrie in short order. The first group of helicopters should be taken out quickly before they cause too much damage to the aircraft.
Once the second group appears, consisting of three Buzzards this time around, take them down before they get too close to the Valkyrie. Agent 14 will inform you once they are clear to deliver the vehicle at the drop-off point off North Calafia Way and finish the mission.
Humane Labs – Deliver EMP
Agent 14 briefs the crew that the EMP is loaded into the Insurgent and that they need to bring it to Humane Labs and Research. The crew is given suppressed weapons, as the setup requires a stealthy approach to complete the objective.
Once everyone is in their target vehicle, the player must drive it to the facility and pull up outside near the entrance. Agent 14 manages to hack the CCTV and sends a live feed to their phones. He instructs them to leave their vehicle at the bay at the rear of the facility.
There are many guards and scientists surrounding the area, but if you know where to go, it won’t be hard to get in and out. There’s one guy driving an Insurgent towards the exit that might cause problems.
And the bay door has a keypad, so make sure you hack it before pressing your luck. Once those guards are down, you’ll have free reign over the facility. So sneak inside, take what you need, then get out alive and make sure no one spots you driving away in a Boxville.
The Humane Labs Raid
A cutscene plays where agent 14 congratulates the crew on a job well done and informs them that it’s time to raid Humane Labs. He splits the crew into two teams: one will infiltrate the facility and retrieve a file stored on a computer, while the other provides air support.
He says that if they never meet again, it never happens because he’s never there. He then leaves, ending his speech by saying, “I love you all.” The Ground Team heads to the pier north of the Alamo Sea and gets into the Valkyrie.
In order to reach the Valkyrie, the Ground Team is forced to take out multiple Buzzards before they succeed in bringing the vehicle down. After the Buzzards have been eliminated, the Pilot is instructed to fly to the rendezvous point at Land Act Reservoir.
Here, Karen waits to transfer the computer files. At the end of their meeting, Karen explains that when she ran agents in the field, she had to use many methods until realizing that all that was needed was “a couple of bucks and a few kind words” and that there was no account for stupidity.
However, the crew is not interested in talking about what happened. They point out that the grenade’s usefulness has run out and throw it out of the window to destroy the Valkyrie, completing the mission.
Heist 4: Series A Funding
Series A – Coke
The crew will be divided into two teams: a sea team and an air team. The sea team must go to Vespucci to pick up a Tropic, while the air team must go to Higgins Helitours in La Puerta to pick up a Frogger. Both teams are then instructed to go and attack the yacht.
There are eight packs of cocaine scattered about the yacht, some in the cabins and others in the below-deck. The yacht is heavily guarded, and enemies will open fire upon approach. During the attack, several police officers arrive in Police Mavericks.
One team can choose to provide assistance from the air while another team assaults from land, or vice versa. Once all the packages are delivered, the team must regroup and make their way to the warehouse under the Los Santos Freeway in East Vinewood and deliver the coke.
Series A – Trash Truck
A team of two is formed: one driver and one garbage picker. The driver is supposed to drive to a location where there are trash bags that need to be picked up by the picker. The first location is in Forum Drive; there will be two bags.
After picking up the bags, another location is given on Capital Boulevard, where there will be three bags. One bag will spawn as soon as a previous bag has been collected. Vagos members will spawn near that area and try to stop them from picking up any more trash bags.
The Collectors will locate four trash bags and bring them to a Trashmaster parked outside a nearby alleyway. Meanwhile, the Operators will have to defend themselves from oncoming enemies while ensuring that no trash bags are missed.
Once all four trash bags have been loaded into the back of the Trashmaster and delivered to Ron Jakowski at Los Santos Freeway in East Vinewood, your payday is complete!
Series A – Bikers
For this job, Trevor has instructed the team to meet at his trailer in Sandy Shores. He informs them that they will be attacking The Lost MC and stealing their vans full of cocaine. He’s left some silenced weapons in his garage should they need them.
After arriving at the trailer to pick up guns, the crew commandeers a Dinghy and travels to Stab City. Trevor explains that the crew must use stealth to take out The Lost members, or else the mission will fail.
After all of the gang members are killed, the crew takes the vans back to Ron Jakowski at the warehouse under Los Santos Freeway in East Vinewood. Along the way, members of The Lost will attack and chase them down in bikes and Slam Vans.
Series A – Weed
The crew is split into two teams: a ground team that will infiltrate the sawmill and lookouts in both eastern and western positions, covering the ground team with long-range weapons. Once both lookouts are in position, the ground team will attack from the main entrance of the sawmill.
The ground team must fend off the Ballas and reach the two Bensons parked in the middle of the sawmill. Once each member of the ground team has obtained a Benson, the lookout team will be instructed to pick up the Technical parked near the entrance to the sawmill.
Now the ground team must take their Bensons to a warehouse under the Los Santos Freeway in East Vinewood—while being watched over by the lookout team using their Technical. Once they have reached their destination, this mission is complete.
Series A – Steal Meth
In this operation, Trevor tells you to head to the O’Neil Ranch in Grapeseed. The tanker full of meth juice is being held there, and you must steal it and bring it to Chef so he can set up his cooking operation at the gas station.
When heading there, the meth dealers both inside and around the ranch will begin attacking. Once the meth dealers have been killed, one of the players has to steal one of the semi-trucks parked north of the main house and hook it up to the tanker parked in front of the barn.
The crew will then take both vehicles to the Ace Liquor meth lab. The meth dealers will chase and attack both trucks along the way. Once both vehicles have been delivered to Chef, the mission is complete.
Series A – Funding
When the finale begins, Ron informs the crew that every group involved in the setup jobs has been informed of the location of their stolen drugs and that Trevor was behind it all. To make matters worse, Trevor is currently at the warehouse under Los Santos Freeway in East Vinewood with the drugs, surrounded by attackers.
After the initial assault at the warehouse, players in Mules and Technicals will have to transport trucks to a lighthouse. They’ll be chased by Ballas and Slamvans, but also Froggers if they aren’t taken care of early on.
Once the deal goes down, Trevor is questioned by a buyer who seems to know everything about him. Trevor realizes that the deal is actually an ambush and wriggles out of it by diving off a cliff into the ocean.
He’s chased by police and dives underwater, where he stays for a while, ignoring bullets from his assailants. He finally emerges from the water, covered in seaweed and cackling maniacally at his survival. The crew is shown outside of the Park View Diner.
Heist 5: The Pacific Standard Job
Pacific Standard – Vans
Lester tasks the crew with finding four Post OP Boxvilles, which are driving around Los Santos delivering packages, so he can determine which one is carrying a transponder fitted on the panel behind the back doors.
Once they find a van, players must take photos of their target vehicle. Lester can then use the license plates to determine which van has the transponder.
Once Lester finds the correct van, he marks it on the map for the player to steal and deliver to Paige Harris at Darnell Bros.’ garment factory. Upon delivering the stolen vehicle to Paige, the mission is complete.
Pacific Standard – Signal
Lester wants the crew to give a transponder they recovered in an earlier mission to his friend Avi Schwartzman. As a thank-you, Avi will help them tune into the Pacific Standard Bank frequency for the heist. But first, they need to get some Sea Sharks and head to an island north of Chumash.
Once on the island, the crew must defeat a large number of government agents and several police helicopters surrounding Avi’s shack. Once all threats are neutralized, one player escorts Avi to a Predator helicopter.
After the players pick up Avi, they must take him up Cassidy Creek and across the Alamo Sea to a little farm in Grapeseed. They must then deliver him to Paige Harris at this location. Once Avi is delivered, the mission is complete.
Pacific Standard – Hack
Lester briefs the crew that they need to steal the equipment by swapping it for a white Gang Burrito and luring an enemy crew by stealing a black one, so they won’t chase the white one containing the equipment.
Once you get to the black van’s location, take out the rival crew guarding it and drive your white van next to it. You’ll see a cutscene of your character switching the equipment between the vehicles.
In the final step of the mission, the crew delivers equipment to Paige Harris and then destroys the Black Van so that the rival crew can’t deliver it to their boss.
Pacific Standard – Convoy
Lester arrives in a Mesa and tells the crew that the target Barracks truck is being escorted by Merryweather and that they should ambush them at Calafia Bridge. He tells the crew that the bridge will give them limited space to work with but says not to destroy the truck itself.
After about 2 minutes, the convoy will drive past the bridge. The crew can either wait at the ambush point or attack the truck directly. Attack it directly, taking out everyone in sight; the driver will attempt to drive away and will call for help, so take him out first.
Once all guards are killed, take the truck to Paige Harris’s location in Grapeseed. On the way, Merryweather reinforcements will arrive in several Mesas and set up roadblocks; take them out before they can get close enough to pose a threat.
Once you’ve gotten rid of all their reinforcements and helicopters, deliver the truck to Paige Harris to complete the mission.
Pacific Standard – Bikes
Lester informs the crew about Lectro sports bikes being stored at the Lost MC clubhouse in East Los Santos. The clubhouse is heavily guarded, so the crew must be careful and plan an approach to retrieve the bikes.
There will be several enemies at the entrance and central area, as well as some of them behind buildings. Two bikes are seen at a parking area near the clubhouse’s entrance, one on the other side of the main entrance and one stored inside a garage on the right.
After stealing the bikes, Lester tells the crew to leave them in an alley near the GoPostal building in Downtown Vinewood. He warns the gang will send reinforcements in Daemons, who can be evaded by taking a longer route.
When they arrive at the drop-off location, Lester says they are safe and can leave the bikes there.
The Pacific Standard Job
You’ve taken down The Fleeca Job, The Prison Break, and The Humane Labs Raid, and now you’re ready to cash out on The Pacific Standard Job. This heist is a classic bank stick-up that carries with it a potential take of $1.25 million, making it the toughest finale in GTA Online to date.
In the Pacific Standard Job, you must steal $1.25 million from a bank without getting caught by law enforcement or tripping an alarm. There are three teams in this finale: Hacker, Demolition, and Crowd Control.
Go to the bank. Everyone gets in the same car. Don’t get a wanted rating on the way to the bank or the job will end. Once you arrive, walk up to the door. You’ll see a cutscene when you walk inside.
When instructed, members of Crowd Control need to kill bank guards and intimidate members of the public inside the bank by shooting close to them without killing any blue dots on their heads or arms. While Crowd Control is keeping everyone quiet, Hacker and Demolition move towards the vault.
Demolition will place a thermite charge on the door at the back of the lobby while Hacker hacks into one of the computers there to open it with lasers so they can enter and steal money from there.
