Using Spoiler Tags on Discord
For Text Message
The easiest way to mark a message as a spoiler is by selecting the text that you want to hide.
Once you select the text, you will see the formatting options, just click/tap on the eye icon.
Alternatively, you can also type a spoiler message manually. Just use “/spoiler” before the message to hide it.
For example, I can use “/spoiler this is a message” and if I send this message on Discord, it will be hidden and the users will only be able to see it if they decide to open the message.
Additionally, you can also use vertical bars to type a spoiler message. Just follow this syntax:
“||YOUR_MESSAGE_HERE||”
For example, I can type “||this is a message||” and it will hide the message for other recipients.
Using the vertical bars, you can also mark links as spoilers.
