Recently, Techland’s lead designer Tymon Smektala mentioned that Dying Light 2 will have free cross-gen upgrades in the future but at this moment the game only supports cross-generation co-op play. It allows players to play the game together on the same type of console.
It means that players can’t play the game on different gaming platforms together. Like PS5 player can’t play with a PC player.
Also, Xbox One players will not be able to play with PlayStation or PC players, and vice versa. While players on both platforms will be able to play each other’s games, the cross-platform feature will not carry over from one platform to the other.
Will Dying Light 2 get crossplay later?
There’s no official statement from the publishers or developers about its crossplay support in the future. But according to some gamers, Dying Light 2 will get cross-platform or crossplay support in the future.
