Spider-Man 2 is an upcoming action-adventure game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It is the third game in Marvel’s Spider-Man series and acts as a sequel to the Spider-Man – Miles Morales.
A few days ago, Sony, at its PlayStation Showcase, revealed the Gameplay for the upcoming Spider-Man video game.
It looks like the protagonist and Peter Parker will have different skill trees, and there is one skill tree that will serve as a team ability that can be used by both of them.
All of the info was hidden somewhat in a blog post by PlayStation that elaborated on the recently showcased gameplay of the game
As mentioned above, Peter Parker & Miles Morales will have different sets of abilities that the players can choose to select or ignore in the separate ability skill tree.
As per the blog post, “Between Peter’s new Symbiote abilities and Miles’s newfound blue bioelectric powers, each Spider-Man has their own unique set of skills that can be upgraded via an all-new individual skills tree. Our heroes share technology and train together, too, so we also included a shared Skill tree that offers parallel upgrades for both“.

Now, the characters will play differently for each player due to how they use the separate skill tree, which is exciting.
And the third set of skill trees appears to be attractive as the players will be able to invest in the abilities that will shape both the characters simultaneously in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
Also, this makes it fair to the players who favor a single-skill tree for both characters.
With that being said, this is quite different from the previous games, like the original Spider-Man, which focused on Peter Parker only, while the second Spider-Man game focuses on Miles Morales.
Therefore, there was only a single set of skill trees for all the characters. Also, the upcoming Spider-Man will allow the players to switch between both characters simultaneously at will, so having separate skill trees makes it easy for the players.
Moving on, the Spider-Man 2 gameplay was showcased at the PlayStation Showcase 2023 with action-packed scenes, and since then, fans have been wondering about the specifics of the skill tree of the protagonist and all the enemies that they will meet.
This means the players will spend more time working on the best skill sets for both characters and the team’s abilities which can be useful during combat.
The gameplay footage shows Peter Parker inflicted with the symbiote fighting alongside Miles Morales, fighting off the goons using a variety of abilities in fast-paced, action-packed gameplay. All this has the fans excited about the upcoming title of Spider-Man.
Unfortunately, there is no info about the launch date of the game, although it is said to be coming in the Fall of 2023, as mentioned in the original blog post.
