The League of Legends Clash is a bi-weekly tournament that allows players to team up and compete against other teams on the same skill level.
Players make teams, scout players & more, and the matches take place on the weekends. Riot Games launched the Clash tournament in 2020, and the League of Legends players have since then enjoyed this tournament.
Three years into its inception, it looks like the tournament will be undergoing some noteworthy changes in the upcoming Ranked Split 2 in Season 13. The developer announced the upcoming changes in a blog post.
Since the worldwide launch of Clash in 2020, we’ve learned so much about how players like to use Clash, as well as the problems surrounding it. To finish it, we would like to share the thing that we have planned for the entirety of 2023.
Let’s take a look at the upcoming changes that are coming to the competitive bi-weekly event.

League of Legends Clash Tournament Regularity
Well, the developer has decided to lower the flow of the Clash to approximately one tournament in a month from the regular two days per Clash tournament.
Also, the number of Clashes will be lower (14 weeks) in 2023, which in turn will result in increasing the number of participants per tournament, make Clash more lively, and will get players matched with other teams that are closer to their skill set.
Clash Tournament Rewards
The teams that get exit the tournament as they get knocked out of the Clash tournament. Therefore, they have nothing to do.
To fix this, the developer is changing the Clash Capsule, and the Orb rewards will now be rewarded based on the wins throughout the tournament rather than on placement.
The goal here is to motivate the teams to stick around, even if they have lost early in the Clash, and since the rewards will be better if you win your remaining games.
